"People often ask single actresses when they are getting married. I heard that with Kareena a lot and now I am going through the same with Katrina (Kaif) in press conferences. It's dangerous because when you are working in Bollywood sometimes it can impact your career negatively," Saif told PTI in an interview.
Saif, 45, feels such is the focus on their private life that sometimes not enough importance is given to the career achievements of the heroines.
"Marriage and other things happen at the right time. I just find it a strange mindset that people want to know about their marriage date and if they are married then about their baby plans. It seems nobody is happy with them being professional and talking about their work."
It is already banned in Pakistan and has generated a lot of controversy there with Lashkar-e-Taiba chief Hafiz Saeed filing a petition against the film in a court there.
Saif, whose "Agent Vinod" faced a similar fate in the neighbouring country, says it is a "shame" to ban the film.
"It's something new that Kabir is trying to do in all his films. But obviously, it's going to upset few people. But it's not against the people of Pakistan. It is only against the masterminds of 26/11. I don't know why it's banned. It's a shame," he said.
