The two new variants -- Vxi (O) and Vdi (O), come with features like Anti-lock braking system (ABS), seat belt pre-tensioner and force limiters and seat belt reminder with buzzer for driver side.
"By offering the option of more safety equipment on our base variants, we want to encourage customers to buy cars that enhance their safety," Maruti Suzuki India, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, R S Kalsi said in a statement.
The Vxi and Vdi models of the Ciaz are currently priced at Rs 7.31 lakh and Rs 8.23 lakh respectively.
