Maxus wins mandate for ICC Champions Trophy, ICC Women's WC

Media and communications agency Maxus, part of Group M, today said it has bagged the media mandate in India for ICC Champions Trophy and ICC Women's World Cup 2017.
The Champions Trophy will be held from June 1 to 18, followed by the ICC Women's World Cup from June 24 June to July 23 July in the United Kingdom.
Maxus has previously handled ICC campaigns in India including the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, ICC World Twenty20 2014, ICC Champions Trophy 2013, ICC World Twenty20 2012 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Universal Music India promotes Vinit Thakkar as Senior VP
Music-based entertainment firm Universal Music India today said it has elevated Vinit Thakkar as Senior Vice President.
Thakkar, currently the head of digital, licensing and new business in the country, will be based out of Mumbai and will report to Universal Music Group South Asia Managing Director and CEO Devraj Sanyal.
The new role will see will see him take a greater role in the operations of Universal Music Group's Indian and South Asian business across Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh and he will head EMI Records India, a sub label of Universal Music Group.

LIMA appoints Jiggy George as India Head
Trade organisation for the global licensing industry International Licencing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA) today said it has appointed Jiggy George, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Indian licensing agency Dream Theatre, as its India Head.
India is a strategically important market for the licensing industry and LIMA President Charles Riotto said,
"With experience as a licensor, licensee and agent, Jiggy possesses a thorough knowledge of the licensing industry in India and of the overall regional market. We welcome him to LIMA and look forward to the unique perspective that he will bring to the position."

Skipper inks pact with plumbing skill council to train youths
Kolkata-based Skipper Ltd today said it has signed an exclusive memorandum of understanding with Indian Plumbing Skill Council (IPSC) for training more than 10,000 youths with both urban and rural in plumbing skills.
In this association Skipper Pipes will fund IPSC to train youths with modern day plumbing skill sets so that they can adapt plumbing as their profession and earn their livelihood, the company said in a statement here.
