Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati today accused BJP government at Centre and states of not following "raj dharma" and asked the allies of the saffron party especially in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir, to reconsider their alliance.

"The BJP governments in the states and centre are not following the raj dharma with regard to acting in the interest of the poor and needy and so its alliance partners, specially Punjab's Akali Dal and J&K's PDP, should give a rethought to their ties with the BJP as the people of the country have now started feeling this way", Mayawati said was quoted as saying in a party release.

The former Uttar Pradesh CM said, "It is now clear that BJP's allies are also worried because of its working style but are following the dharma of alliance politics," it said.

"But they need to do something in the interest of the people and country and assert some control or else the narrow minded BJP will continue to harm countrymen", Mayawati said.

She was speaking at a meeting of BSP workers from Punjab, Chandigarh and J&K held here. The meeting was called by the her to take stock of the the organisation in the respective states.

On Lalit Modi controversy , Mayawati said "the way Narendra Modi government is shielding its tainted and corrupt ministers and leaders keeping national interests at bay exposes the pseudo nationalism of BJP."

She also demanded the Centre to find out an amicable and satisfactory solution to the ex-servicemen's "One rank one pension" issue.
