Menthol prices decline on reduced offtake

Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today on reduced offtake by consuming units amidst adequate stocks.
Increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh also weighed on menthol prices.
Menthol bold crystal, flake and mentha oil prices declined by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 880, Rs 875 and Rs 765 per kg, respectively.
Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts mainly pulled down menthol prices.

Caustic soda flake (50 kg) Rs 1,650-1,750, Citric acid (50 kg) (China) Rs 3,700-4,000, Citric acid deshi (50 kg) Rs 4,000-4,200, Camphor slab (1 kg) Rs 375, Camphor powder (1kg) Rs 340, Glycerin (1 kg) Rs 140-160, Hexamine (1kg) Rs 95, Hydrogen peroxide (1 kg) Rs 36-50, menthol bold crystal (per kg) Rs 880, menthol flake (1 kg) Rs 875 and mentha oil (1kg) Rs 765.
