Mercury soars in Raj; Churu hottest at 43 deg C

Heatwave continued in Rajasthan today, with several districts in the state recording maximum temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius.
Churu city was the hottest in the state sizzling at the temperature of 43 degree Celsius.
Kota recorded the maximum temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius, followed by Barmer and Bikaner 40.8 degree Celsius each, respectively, The MeT said.
Pilani, Jaisalmer, Jaipur and Dabok recorded day temperatures of 40.6 degree Celsius, 40.5 degree Celsius, 39.9 degree Celsius and 39.2 degree Celsius, respectively, it said.
