Filmmaker Michael Bay is in negotiations to direct Sony's upcoming action movie "Black 5".
Ehren Kruger, who worked with the filmmaker on several "Transformers" movies, has penned the script of the film.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Black 5" centres around an elite military team with advanced technology.
Bay's frequent collaborator Erwin Stoff will produce the project.
The director is currently awaiting the release of his Netflix actioner "Six Underground", which is his first project outside the "Transformers" franchise in years.
