Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella today said his company is interested in working with the Telangana government through Microsoft Ventures Accelerators to give a push to the startup ecosystem.
He further said the company is interested in the field of last mile technological connectivity to rural areas of India along with local entrepreneurs.
Addressing a gathering at T-Hub, a technological incubator promoted by the Telangana Government, Nadella advised the startup community to learn from the failures.
"We are here to be a part of your success, with our accelerators where we aim to work with T-Hub. But most of all, I'm here to be inspired by your dreams," Nadella said according to a press release issued by the Government.
Nadella also spoke about three important points to keep in mind for startups - not lose out on the concept that drives them, capability that is needed to build to chase after that concept, have that persistence and to curate the culture they drive in their organisation on a constant basis.
He added that culture can never be faked and the more you live it, the more sustainable your business approach becomes.
The Microsoft CEO also spoke about the much talked about White Space technology as he emphasised on the importance of last mile connectivity.
"One of the things I feel that is most important is connectivity. So, there needs to be a market-based solution and also a local entrepreneur that goes out and creates that last mile connectivity that offers affordable solutions," Nadella said.
Microsoft recently launched a pilot project in Kenya to deliver low-cost, high-speed wireless broadband and create new opportunities for commerce, education, healthcare, and delivery of government services across the African country.

An entrepreneur who attended the interactive session with Satya Nadella said Microsoft is interested to work with Indian entrepreneurs in the field of last mile connectivity.
On failures, he said one has to learn from the failures of others.
"It's not about the failure, it's about learning from the failures. Failure itself cannot be celebrated. When I think about my career, my successes are built on learnings from failures," he added.
On T-Hub, Nadella said it is an amazing space for entrepreneurs and it's also inspiring to see that the Government here is trying to build a facility such as this for startups.
T-Hub a technology incubator with collaborative efforts from the Indian School of Business (ISB), the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT-Hyderabad) and NALSAR University of Law besides various other organisations.
A budding entrepreneur who was present during the interactive session said it was a great inspirational and though provoking speech by Nadella who said concept, capability and culture are the mantra of success.
"When we asked about the focus of Microsoft, Nadella said they would focus more on product development rather than services," the entrepreneur said adding that entrepreneurs should come up with ideas which will have marketability.
A senior Government official had earlier said Nadella was expected to unveil some of the Government policies such as IT Policy during his visit today. However, it could not take place due to the moral code of conduct is prevailing in the state.
The visit of Nadella was kept as low profile affair as his tour was strictly personal.
Earlier in the morning he met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the letter's residence.
