The government took pains to explain that the CHS was only intended to collect all relevant data in its efforts to build a "golden Telangana".
"There need not be any apprehensions over the CHS as no benefits will be withdrawn. With the help of the data collected, the government will ensure that Telangana will get what all it lost in the last 57 years," Finance Minister Etela Rajender said.
"The data needs to be shared with the public. More than 25 per cent households in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation have not been covered in the survey," Owaisi said.
He warned that the MIM will not tolerate if the government sought to target people of Andhra and Rayalaseema region residing in Hyderabad and deprive them of benefits.
"We are all Indians first and have the right to live anywhere in the country," he said.
The CHS issue was raised during the Question Hour by TDP member A Revanth Reddy who alleged that the survey was undertaken on August 19 by "terrorising" people.
