Minor dead, 12 injured as marriage buggy touches live wire

A 12-year-old boy was killed and twelve others injured when the horse-cart in a marriage procession touched a live electric wire in Faridpur area near here, police said today.
"The incident occurred last night when an elevated metal fitting on the bridegroom's buggy came in contact with a low hanging wire leaving Imran alias Shoaib (12) dead and 12 others injured," Superintendent of Police, Rural, Brijesh Kumar Srivastava said.
The injured were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, he added.
