Minor raped in Ghaziabad, accused held

A 17-year-old minor girl was allegedly raped by her relative in Raj Nagar extension area under police station Sihani Gate here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday, when the accused Raju (20), a native of Meerut and also the neighbour of the victim lured her to a nearby flat and raped her, SHO Sihani Gate Ashok Shishodia said.
Traumatised girl narrated the ordeal to her parents.
Upon complaint of her parents an FIR under section 376 (Rape) IPC and POCSO Act has been registered at the police station.
The Girl has been referred for medical examination to the government hospital, Police said, adding that the Accused has been arrested and sent to jail.
