The late singer's father has objected to the portrayal of both himself and his daughter in the forthcoming "Amy" documentary, and wants to straighten some things out, reported Heat magazine.
"Amy", directed by Asif Kapadia and due to be released on July 3 in the UK and the rest of the world on July 10, has won critical praise but drawn many objections from the late singer's family, the most vocal of whom has been her father.
In addition to the documentary out imminently, an actual biopic has also been floated as an idea.
Speaking about the possible casting for such a picture, Mitch responded: "It's been mooted Lady Gaga as Amy, but I'd definitely have George Clooney play me!"
Amy Winehouse died at the age of 27 in July 2011 of alcohol-related issues, five years after the multi-platinum success of her second studio album Back To Black.
That album was the biggest selling album in her native Britain in 2007, has sold 20 million copies worldwide and is currently the 13th biggest selling album of all time in the UK.
