According to the FIR, an amount of Rs 2,936.19 lakh under Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) had been allocated to the MADC and misappropriated by the district council authorities with discrepancies in the selection of beneficiaries and disbursement of fund to the beneficiaries.
The MNF further alleged that Rs 764 lakh allocated under NITI Aayog was misappropriated by the MADC authorities.
Utilisation certificates were issued under the scheme against works already completed with fund received from the 13th Finance Commission by changing the names of the construction works, the party alleged.
The party also had submitted written complaint to the state governor Lt. General Nirbhay Sharma asking the latter to take appropriate action, the statement added.
