"Modi government is anti-farmers and is merely indulging in politics on the issues concerning them", Yadav told newspersons here.
The Samajwadi Party leader alleged that through the land acquisition bill, the Modi government wanted to grab land for benefiting its industrialist friends.
Stressing that UP government was committed to the welfare of farmers, he said that the state was doing lots of works for them without waiting for the help from the centre and assured that there will be no dearth of funds for the irrigation facilities in the state.
The minister who laid the foundation stone/inaugurated projects worth Rs 100 crores also distributed cheques of Samajwadi and labour department pension schemes during his visit.
Yadav was here to inspect the ongoing works under Kanhar irrigation project.
