Reddy was speaking at the inaugural of the two-day delegate session of CPI's 25th State Conference here.
"Modi's 'Make in India' is only to cheat young unemployed Indians...It remains a slogan...He lures foreign investors and corporates by reducing corporate tax and abolishing wealth tax. Those corporates which have become insolvent in western countries are now looking towards India to be benefited," the CPI veteran alleged.
He said government's industrial policies have been designed to benefit large Indian corporates and foreign companies.
Government's claim on GDP growth of 8 per cent benefits only a few corporates but not the poor, he said.
We have achieved progress in economy, but not in human welfare, he added.
Reddy appealed all to understand the "anti-people" regime of Modi and fight against it for which Left parties are moving unitedly.
National Central Committee member Dr Narayana and state secretary K Ramakrishan among many others participated in the first day's delegate session.
