Moong, moth dal rise on mixed trend

In a mixed pattern of trading, prices of moong and moth rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today on uptick in demand from retailers.
However, gram, arhar and urad ended lower on adequate stocks position against muted demand.
Traders said pick up in demand from retailers helped select pulses to trade higher but sufficient stocks position kept pressure on other prices.
In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka rose by Rs 200 each to Rs 4,300-4,900 and Rs 5,000-5,200 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best quality followed suit and enquired higher by a similar margin to Rs 5,600-6,100 and Rs 6,100-6,300 per quintal.
Moth also seen in demand and went up by Rs 200 to Rs 3,300-3,700 per quintal.
On the other hand, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 200 each to Rs 5,200-6,100, Rs 5,900-6,300 and Rs 6,300-6,400 per quintal respectively.
Besan Shaktibhog and Rajdhani quoted lower at Rs 2,480 instead of Rs 2,550 per 35 kg bag.
Arhar and its dal dara variety eased by Rs 100 each to Rs 3,800 and Rs 5,900-7,700 per quintal respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka also declined by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,100-6,000 and Rs 5,200-5,300 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 5,300-5,800 and Rs 5,700-5,900 per quintal.
Malka local and best quality too shed Rs 50 each to Rs 4,350-4,550 and Rs 4,450-4,650 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 3,800-4,000, bold Rs 3,850-4,100, Dal Masoor local Rs 4,200-4,700, best quality Rs 4,300-4,800, Malka local Rs 4,350-4,550, best Rs 4,450-4,650, Moth Rs 3,300-3,700, Arhar Rs 3,800, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 5,900-7,700.
Gram Rs 5,200-6,100, Gram dal (local) Rs 5,900-6,300, best quality Rs 6,300-6,400, Besan (35 kg), Shakti bhog Rs 2,480, Rajdhani Rs 2,480, Rajma Chitra Rs 7,500-10,300, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,000-10,200, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,500-2,525 and green Rs 2,600-2,700.
