More than 2 lakh apply in Raj for registration as voters

More than 2 lakh people, most of them from Jaipur, have applied to get enrolled in the voter list of Rajasthan.
During the one-day camp on March 9, the election office received 2,74,325 applications for inclusion of names in voter list, Chief Election Officer Ashok Jain said today.
Of the total applications, 36,343 are from Jaipur alone, he added.
People in Alwar, Ajmer, Banswara, Baran, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bhilwara and other districts also applied for enrolment as voters, Jain said.
