Mother, daughter killed, 1 injured in UP road mishap

A mother and her minor daughter were today killed and one other was injured when the motorcycle in which they were travelling was allegedly hit by a truck in Bithri Chainpur area here, police said.
Shakuntala (35) and Harkumari (7) were killed on the spot and Umesh (23) was injured when their motorcycle reportedly collided with the truck this afternoon, police said.
Umesh was rushed to a hospital where his condition was stated to be stable, they said.
An FIR has been lodged in this connection, they said.
