A local court today granted the Madhya Pradesh anti-terrorism squad the custody of three suspected SIMI men till March 19 in connection with the Khandwa jail-break case of October 2013.
Additional district judge Bhupendra Singh also sent the trio to judicial custody till March 10 in another case related to a 2009 bank robbery in Dewas district.
Mehboob alias Guddu, Amjed alias Sheikh Pappu and Zakir alias Sadique were brought here on a production warrant from Rourkela in Odisha where they were arrested on February 17 in a joint operation by Telangana and Odisha police.
ATS told the court that it needed to question them to find out who had helped them escape from Khandwa jail in October 2013.
