"A law will be framed in the state to give residential land rights to poor which will be first of its kind in the country," Chouhan said addressing 'Antyodaya Mela' in the tribal Jhabua district yesterday.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also announced setting up of a horticulture hub and development works worth Rs 106 crore for Petlawad area of the tribal district.
Chouhan also said that efforts are on for economic empowerment of women in the state and added that soon a convention of women self-help-groups will also be organised in Bhopal.
Expressing happiness over state's youths excelling in all India competitive exams, he assured every possible assistance to them to study and move ahead in life.
Remembering late MP Dilip Singh Bhuria, Chouhan said that he was a social reformer and champion of de-addiction, adding his dreams for development of the district will be fulfilled.
He announced several initiatives like bringing Narmada water to Petlawad, a Rs 34-crore project for Nagar Panchayat towards drinking water, ghat on Mahi river bank at Bhabhrapada and construction of auditorium at Petlawad.
Besides, assistance worth Rs. 42.12 crore was also distributed to 34,444 beneficiaries of various schemes on the occasion.
