A man arrested in the sensational kidnapping and murder case of five-year-old twin boys in Madhya Pradesh's Satna district in February this year allegedly committed suicide in jail on Tuesday, police said.
The twin boys were kidnapped from a school bus in the district's Chitrakoot town on February 12 and their dead bodies were found in Uttar Pradesh's Banda area on February 16.
Ramesh Yadav (26), after having breakfast Tuesday morning, went to a Hanuman temple in the jail premises and hanged himself from a rod protruding from the roof of the structure, said Satna Superintendent of Police Riyaz Iqbal.
"He was rushed to a hospital nearby but was declared dead on arrival. His autopsy will be conducted on Wednesday after his relatives arrive from Hamirpur in UP," he said.
Six persons were arrested in the kidnapping-murder case, including Yadav.
