The drive would be conducted between May 8 and May 13 and would cover all the officers upto the rank of deputy commissioner of police.
"Each jawan would be given a questionnaire," said Dhananjay Kulkarni, spokesperson of the Mumbai Police.
The questionnaire is being prepared by a panel of psychologists in consultation with senior police officers.
"On the basis of the findings of EQ assessment, corrective measures would be taken, so that we can address the issues that are affecting the police force's performance," Kulkarni added.
He also said that EQ testing drive was to be conducted last month, but it was postponed for some reasons.
"Recent killing of police officer by another policeman prompted us to complete this process," he said.
Last Saturday, senior inspector Vilas Joshi of Vakola police station here was shot by assistant sub-inspector Dilip Shirke. Shirke then proceeded to shoot himself dead, while Joshi succumbed to the injuries in the hospital.
