Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today inaugurated a museum dedicated to the late Morarji Desai, the first non-Congress Prime Minister of the country, in his hometown Valsad.
"It was a privilege to dedicate museum built as a tribute to freedom fighter Shree Morarji Desai where visitors can glance through his life journey," Patel tweeted.
The museum has been set up by Valsad municipal council.
It has memorabilia on Desai, including his photographs, and also an audio-visual facility.
Desai, once a Congressman, was the Prime Minister in Janata government post-Emergency during 1977-79. He had also been the Chief Minister of the erstwhile Mumbai state.
