Mustard seed prices fell by Rs 13 to Rs 4,041 per quintal on profit-booking by participants after yesterday's gain amid a weak trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustard seed for delivery in the current month contracts drifted lower by Rs 13, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 4,041 per quintal, with an open interest of 41,980 lots.
Mustard seed to be delivered in May contracts too eased by Rs 9, or 0.22 per cent, to Rs 4,090 per quintal, in an open interest of 65,450 lots.
Marketmen said emergence of profit-booking by participants at current levels and a weak trend at the spot markets led to the fall in mustard seed prices in futures trade here.
