Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today sought Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to convene a meeting to find amicable solutions for issues concerning bifurcated Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Briefing reporters here, Naidu said some acts of the AP Reorganisation Act must be implemented by the Centre.
"Home Ministry is the nodal agency for bifurcation. One year is over. There are some issues between the two states. There are some issues concerning the Centre. There are some acts they have to implement. All these things, as far as possible, he (Rajnath) has to take a decision. He has to convene a meeting. Ultimately, amicable solution he has to evolve," Naidu said after meeting the Home Minister.
Evading a direct reply on whether he demanded the transfer of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Governor E S L Narasimhan during the meet, Naidu said it was not a solution.
"My total focus is on development. Not on individuals. There is a bifurcation act and it has to be implemented in letter and spirit," he added.
Speaking about Andhra Pradesh's new capital Amaravathi, Naidu said, the state government would invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi besides Japanese and Singapore premiers for laying of foundation stone for the capital city on October 22.
Queried whether an invitation would be extended for his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao, he said that invitation would be extended to all Chief Ministers.
"I will call everybody. What is the problem? All Chief Ministers will be invited. I am calling our Prime Minister... I want to call Singapore Prime Minister, which I have informed our Prime Minister... I want to call Japan Prime Minister also. If it is possible, he will also come," he added.
Naidu, who met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at Tokyo early this week, said the AP government was planning to set up seven waste-to-energy plants to generate power.
Describing his Japan tour as "successful", he said that the Japanese agencies were showing keen interest in construction of a new capital in Andhra Pradesh.
Later in the evening, Naidu called on Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti and discussed about Polavaram Multipurpose Irrigation Project, which is being executed as a national project in Andhra Pradesh.
