"There is a need for operational preparedness with optimal utilisation of resources," the IAF chief said, after inaugurating the South Western Air Command's three-day commander conference attended by officials of the Air Force units in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
He emphasised the need to keep abreast with the latest technologies and focused on the demands that the latest technology places, while the IAF marches through a transition phase of large scale upgradation of capabilities and infrastructure.
The conference is a forum for the station commanders to exchange views on operations, maintenance and administrative matters requiring deliberation with senior officers at Command Headquarters.
