"Swami Vivekananda has taught us religious tolerance, mutual respect and universal brotherhood, which are still relevant in this modern world," Khil Raj Regmi said at a function marking the 150th birth anniversary of the great spiritual guru of the 20th century.
"Swamiji has become the source of inspiration in today's world which is gripped by material competition and the menace of terrorism," he said.
He was speaking as the chief guest at the function organised in Nepal Academy here to pay tribute to Vivekananda.
"Hinduism is the most tolerant religion in the world, which can accommodate all other religions," said Kashyap.
"Each and every soul is divine and the only thing we need to do is to explore the unlimited potential we all have, that is what Swami Vivekananda has taught us," he said.
Ambassador of India to Nepal Ranjit Rae was laso present at the function. He shed light on the contributions made by Swami Vivekananda in spreading the Hindu religion across the globe.
