Netrika Consulting acquires online anti-piracy firm APS

Risk management and corporate fraud investigation firm Netrika Consulting on Thursday said it has acquired Hyderabad-based Anti Piracy Solutions (APS) to boost capacities in IPR and brand protection.

With this acquisition, Netrika will now be better positioned to effectively lead the fight against unauthorised leaks and peddling of copyrighted intellectual properties such as movies, music albums and educational contents online, a company statement said.

Netrika however did not disclose the financial details of the transaction.

"Piracy is an universal concern which besides being an intellectual property rights (IPR) concern is causing huge losses to both corporates as well as governments globally. We are happy to welcome APS into our fold and we are confident to protect our clientele from piracy both online and offline," said Sanjay Kaushik, Managing Director, Netrika Consulting.

Founder and CEO Chaitanya N of APS will continue to function as a director at Netrika Consulting.

"With the new found synergy of expertise and technologies, we look forward to serving existing and new clients more effectively and help them protect their intellectual property better," Chaitanya N said.
