Speaking at the launch of the DAVP calendar, Julka said a report in this regard had been submitted and a policy will be unveiled soon.
Later, he said that at present for empanelment to digital cinema halls an agency must have a fifty cinema halls through ownership or legal contract. This number could be brought down in the new policy and even if a single screen is there, the empanelment would be open, he added.
In his speech, Julka said the government would soon inaugurate a building 'Soochna Bhawan' at the CGO complex area in the national capital. He said several field units of the I&B Ministry could be shifted to the newly-constructed building.
The Ministry has received the go-ahead of the Expediture Finance Committee (EFC) for National Film Heritage Mission (NFHM) under which classic indian films will be restored.
