Jind district has been neglected by the earlier state government, but the BJP government would ensure that all districts are equally developed, he said on the sidelines of Van Mahotsav programme at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University here.
The Delhi-Amritsar Express Highway, planned by the Union Government, would pass through Jind ushering development in the district, Abhimanyu said.
A notification has been issued for construction of a four-lane road from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh to Bhiwani-Jind, while the other roads of this district would be connected with national highways and rail routes, he said.
Attending the Van Mahotsav programme, Abhimanyu who is also the state Environment and Forest Minister planted a sapling and also flagged off a cycle rally in this occasion.
