Nickel prices shed 0.08% in futures market

Nickel prices fell by 0.08 per cent to Rs 875.30 per kg in futures market today as participants cut down bets to book profits.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in March was down by 70 paise, or 0.08 per cent, to Rs 875.30 per kg in a business turnover of 398 lots.

Niciel for delivery in April too fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 879.40 in 13 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in nickel futures to off loading of positions by participants to book profits at current levels.
