Nine Assam Rilfes personnel injured in IED blast

At least nine Assam Rifles personnel were today injured in an IED blast at Monmao village in Arunachal Pradesh near the Indo-Myanmar border.
The improvised explosive devise, planted on the road in the remote village in Changlang district, went off at around 2.30 pm when the security personnel were on a routine patrol duty, Defence spokesman Lt Col Suneet Newton said here.
The injured troops were evacuated for medical treatment, he said.
The militant outfit involved in the explosion was yet not immediately known as investigations are on, the spokesman added.
