Niti Aayog's health index will rank states on the basis of their performance on 'measurable' indicators like infant mortality rate, sex ratio at birth and functional 24x7 public health centres.
"We shall be releasing the state rankings on Health system performance on February 9. Let us hope it can also "nudge" them into action. Critical to achieving SDG Goals," Niti Aayog adviser Alok Kumar said.
