Nitish announces Rs one crore assistance to cyclone-hit

Expressing sympathy towards those affected by cyclone Ockhi in Lakshdweep, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today announced an assistance of Rs one crore to the island ravaged by the calamity.
"We are with the people of Lakshadweep in this hour of crisis", the Chief Minister was quoted as saying in a release.
He also decided to send Rs one crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to the cyclone-ravaged island, the release added.
