"It is my view and that of Narendra Modi government that the issue is not of BJP or non BJP governments but all should work as a team...There is no question of politics on the issue of development," Dattatraya said.
The minister, who was here to attend the first state labour ministers' conference of north region, assured that as the labour minister his prime focus was workers' protection for which new initiatives are also being taken and the main aim of labour reforms was simplification and rationlisation.
Dattatreya said that the main objective of the conference was to have the views of states on the proposed reforms in labour laws and demands of central trade unions in respect to minimum wages.
Elaborating on the works being done by his ministry, he said that the employment exchanges are being turned into IT driven national career counselling centres where the job seekers and job providers will converge.
For providing social security to about 45 crore labour force in the unorganised sector, smart cards will be provided to them through a national campaign, he added.
