Under the service which has been launched in NCR Railway, the FIR will be registered by officials in the train who will then forward it to the nearest GRP station which will keep the victim apprised of the action taken in his case through aggrieved person's mobile phone.
Chief PRO, NCR Railway Naveen Babu told PTI today that earlier when a person had to lodge an FIR in case of any event in the moving train, they to break their journey to lodge the report at the nearest GRP station but now an FIR can be filed in the train itself by authorised train officials.
In the trains where the RPF is not present, the coach conductor, train guard and coach attendant will help the victim fill the form and will submit it at the next GRP station, he added.
