Acting swiftly to a tip-off through a tweet of a good samaritan, the CMO swung into action and took prompt steps that led to the rescue of children who were allegedly being trafficked on a bus.
One Amit Nanda had in a tweet to the CMO sought urgent help and action saying one person was escorting four minor boys in a bus from Berhampur to Sambalpur probably for forced labour.
Following this, the police were alerted and the boys were rescued near Phulbani, sources said.
"Legal action is being taken. Thankful for your alertness and quick action," Patnaik tweeted.
The Chief Minister appreciated the swift action of the police for rescuing the four minor boys and Amit for the tip-off.
