Union Shipping Minister G K Vasan who arrived here from Mumbai, himself told the authorities that he would not use the official car as the MCC has already came into force, official sources said.
Another Union Minister D Purandeswari also declined to utilise the state vehicle upon her arrival here.
Sources said, a team of officials from IT department would keep a round the clock vigil at domestic and international terminals to track illegal transport of money.
"Earlier, we had the arrangement for Chennai city alone. Now, we want to expand it across the state. We are waiting for a catchy number," he said.
To another query, he said that the Tamil Nadu government has earmarked Rs 155 crore from the state budget for conducting the LS polls.
