With the defection of 8 Congress MLAs into the ruling Naga People's Front (NPF)-led DAN government on November 20 last, the 60-member house does not have any opposition.
The present composition of the Assembly is NPF - 48, BJP - 4 and Independent - 8. BJP is a pre-poll alliance of NPF while the Independent MLAs are also extending support to the government.
Speaker Chotisuh Sazo adjourned the house sine die in less than an hour after completion of obituary references, presentation of governor's assent to three bills and laying of government reports and rules.
