Significantly, as per Supreme Court directives sale of firecrackers in the National Capital Region (NCR) is banned till November 1.
Last night, we got information that fire crackers were stored for illegal sale in the Nangla Charan Das village, Noida Phase 2 police station, SHO, Shawez Khan said.
Police team raided the premises and arrested one person named Vijay while crackers worth lakhs of rupees were seized, he said.
During interrogation, the accused said that he was storing the stock of fire crackers to earn extra bucks by selling them at a high price during Diwali and Chhath festivals, the SHO claimed.
