One killed, 13 hurt in jallikattu at temple festival

One person was killed and 13 others were injured during the bull taming sport of jallikattu held at nearby Kulamangalam today, police said.

The sport was organised in connection with a festival at the local Karuppasamy temple and a total of 650 bulls took part in the event.

A bull-tamer, in his mid 20s, was gored to death while 13 others who suffered injuries were given treatment at the venue itself, police said.
