Granting bail, Justice Shatrughna Pujahari asked the suspended officer of Tripura cadre to submit his passport with the special (vigilance) court here.
He was granted bail after furnishing bail bond of Rs one lakh with two solvent sureties and a property bond of Rs 50,000.
The IG-rank officer was arrested by Odisha vigilance police from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh on July 23 on corruption charges and sent to Choudwar jail here the next day.
Since the high court orders and the relevant documents could not be produced before the jail authorities today, Nayak is likely to walk free from jail tomorrow, said his counsel Siddharth Mishra.
Four others, including a senior Odisha Police Service officer are also arrested in the same case.
