"In order to check the violations of different traffic rules, police has seized 1303 vehicles and charge-sheeted 16272 vehicles in the past two months," a police spokesman said today.
He said police has started a campaign through print, electronic and social media for making people aware of traffic rules and regulations.
"Police has also launched a week-long campaign for awareness of traffic rules," he said.
The drive is aimed at making public aware for obeying traffic rules by wearing seat belts and crash helmets and have proper documentations, fitness certificates of vehicles, avoiding wrong parking, overloading and over speeding, the spokesman said.
