During the Question Hour, Congress's Shailesh Parmar, through a written question, asked for details about the MoUs signed during VGS investor summits in 2009 and 2011 and how many of them had been scrapped.
In a written reply, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel, who handles industries portfolio, said that 3,346 MoUs were signed in VGS-2009, of which 951 projects were cancelled. In 2011, 8,380 MoUs were signed, of which 3,058 MoUs were later cancelled.
Parmar also asked the CM to give details about employment generated by the operational projects which came from VGS held in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011.
Patel said it is not possible to give exact figure.
