The movie also stars "Room" actor Jacob Tremblay, who plays Auggie Pullman, a young boy born with a facial deformity, reported Entertainment Weekly.
The film is an adaptation of RJ Palacio's novel of the same man.
Wilson will play the boy's father opposite Roberts, who is playing the mother.
Stephen Chbosky is directing the project from the script penned by Jack Thorne and Steve Conrad.
