Gour Chakraborty (52) used to practice palmistry and a housewife today approached him for consultation, said a senior police officer adding, Chakraborty tried to allegedly molest the woman once she was in his room.
The woman then raised an alarm prompting a section of local residents to barge inside Chakraborty's house and ransack it. They also beat him up and then handed him over to the police, the officer said.
