"The committee takes serious note of such casual approach of the ministry and desires that concerted efforts should be made to complete and roll out e-migrate project on time without any further shift in deadlines," the committee said.
The committee noted that the project has the potential to change the entire landscape of migration in the country and out of it by faciitating the process at various stages.
However, the ministry had in its action taken report told the committee that the 'Go Live' date has now been fixed for March 2014 and funds will be obtained at the Revised Estimate (RE) stage, if required.
"The committee is aghast to note that the ministry simply informed about the change in deadline of 'Go Live' and no other detail of their commitment to roll out the project," the committee said.
