Parliament adjourned till noon amid uproar

Parliament was adjourned till noon soon after it met for the day today amid uproar over various issues including controversy over JPC report on 2G spectrum and questioning of UP Minister Azam Khan at Boston airport.
As Lok Sabha met for the day, Speaker Meira Kumar condoled the death of former member D K Audikesavulu from Chettur in Andhra Pradesh. She also referred to death of several people in a building collapse in Bangladesh.
After observing silence in their memory, members from different parties shouted slogans and walked into the Well.
BJD members were in the Well carrying placards demanding more funds for Odisha and special status to the state.

AIADMK and DMK members displayed newspaper reports which highlighted the demand of half of the JPC members for removal of P C Chacko from the post of chairperson of the panel going into the 2G spectrum scam. Some BJP members also walked into the Well to protest on the same issue.
Left parties raised the chit fund issue of West Bengal and said deposits made by people in Saradha Group should be immediately refunded.

TMC members Kalyan Banerjee, Tapas Pal and Satabdi Roy too walked into the Well to counter the Left.
SP members protested the questioning of UP Minister Azam Khan at the Boston airport, while Congress MPs from Andhra Pradesh held placards demanding introduction of bill for Telangana statehood.

Amid din, the Speaker adjourned the House till noon.
In the Rajya Sabha, SP members trooped into the Well to vent their anger over the questioning of Khan at Boston.
"America ki dadagiri nahi chalegi, nahi chalegi (America's high-handedness will not be tolerated)," SP members shouted.
BJP members shouted slogans demanding resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over alleged attempt by some ministers to influence CBI probe into the coal scam.
AIADMK members held newspapers carrying reports that the lawyer wife of a senior UPA minister took money from the West Bengal chit fund fraud case accused.
BJD members too were on their feet demanding central funds for Odisha. They carried posters that read "More Funds for Odisha" and "We oppose Centre's Negligence of Odisha".

As members kept shouting, Chairman Hamid Ansari adjourned the House till noon.
