"My government is for five years. I will not like to reduce it by four months or even five weeks. The election would be held at right time," Parsekar told reporters here.
The tenure of the Legislative Assembly ends in March next year.
The Chief Minister refused to respond to media reports that the Election Commission of India might advance the Goa polls to November this year.

"BJP has grown across the nook and corner. We have grown horizontally and vertically. The party's work is going on at a different level," Parsekar said.
