Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said passing orders by "sitting in front a computer" will not help the citizens tide over the coronavirus crisis.
He claimed leaders should come out on the streets and help those hit by the lokdown imposed to prevent the spread of the disease.
"Conditions will not improve if review is done for the sake of reviewing by sitting in front of a computer. Those in power will have to come on streets, and serve the people in a direct manner like the Samajwadi Party," Yadav said in a tweet in Hindi.
He also accused the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government of registering cases against SP workers.
"The BJP government has registered cases against SP workers who are helping the public by distributing ration. This is inhuman and condemnable," the SP chief added.
